printed rules governing the local taxes he will be obliged to charge
you.
The renting of a holiday accommodation automatically entitles you to a
Visitors card. This card offers you many advantages, reductions of the
entrance fees to events organized by the Tourist Office and to the
resort facilities.

Hints

- To avoid any possible differences arising later, it is recommended that a written rental agreement and a cancellation insurance
(premium 4% of location price) will be signed. Please ask for insurance conditions at your landlord.

- Any claims or complaints should be reported to the owner within 48 hours of being handed the key.
- Whenever possible, inspect the property before signing a
rental agreement. If the contract is canceled, the proprietor is
entitled to hold the tenant responsible for any loss, should it not be
possible to re-rent the chalet or flat during the same period (Swiss
Law of Obligations, Art. 253-274).
- The rental agreement contains all other conditions (rules on keeping animals for instance).
- Every guest staying in Wengen has to pay the visitor s and the cantonal tourist tax.
